    AbstractThere are various dialysis methods available to treat patients with chronic kidney failure. Generally, a distinction is made between peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis, as well as between home dialysis methods and center-based dialysis methods. To be able to advise patients optimally, it is important to understand the opportunities and limitations of the different method variants.
