AbstractThis report describes the case of a 64-year-old female patient, with multiple comorbidities which presented an ecthyma gangrenosum due to Klebsiella pneumoniae confirmed by blood and tissue cultures. It finally ended in the amputation of the limb. The case is presented given the low prevalence of positive cultures for this microorganism in this pathology associated to devastating consequences for the patient.
