AbstractA 58-year-old woman had fever, diarrhea, and polymicrobial bacteremia that progressively worsened despite appropriate antibiotic therapy. At autopsy, a diverticular abscess and pylephlebitis were found, both demonstrating hyphal forms consistent with Candida on microscopy.
