AbstractA young patient experienced two subsequent acute coronary syndromes due to left anterior descending (LAD) artery occlusion. Different ability of homocoronary collateral vessels to supply the ischemic territories, depending on the site of LAD artery occlusion, was associated with different clinical consequences. The case underscores the crucial role of the collateral circulation in limiting the effects of acute coronary occlusions.
