AbstractWe report a case of an extensive intermittent sigmoidorectal intussusception due to an adenocarcinoma of the rectum in an adult. Abdominal multislice computed tomography with two-dimensional multiplanar reformatted images and three-dimensional volume rendering rapidly established the diagnosis preoperatively. The intussusception was confirmed by surgery.
