AbstractWe report a patient with bronchial asthma who presented with pneumomediastinum, pneumopericardium, pneumoretroperitoneum, pneumorrhachis and extensive subcutaneous emphysema, after a period of coughing. Pathogenesis, diagnostic procedures and treatment of pneumomediastinum and its complications are discussed.
