AbstractThe Bullard laryngoscope is a new combination of a fibreoptic light source and an anatomically shaped rigid blade, to aid visualization of the larynx. We present two patients with expected severe difficult endotracheal intubation and describe their anaesthetic management. Our experience confirms previous observations which showed that the Bullard laryngoscope provides an excellent view of the vocal cords in patients with severe difficult airways.
