    AbstractSetting up an extracorporeal life support program requires motivated experts, institutional commitment, and an interprofessional team of healthcare providers with dedicated time, space, and resources. This article provides guidance on the key steps involved in the process of developing a sustainable extracorporeal membrane oxygenation program, based on guidelines from the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization and from an international perspective.
