AbstractFoot surgery often induces severe postoperative pain. Sciatic nerve block is a good alternative for its treatment. We report two cases of continuous lateral popliteal sciatic nerve block using two different stimulating catheters. The lateral approach may offer some advantages. Stimulating catheters may be useful to verify correct catheter tip positioning. This technique seem to be easy to use and provided excellent pain relief.
