AbstractThe aim of the symposium was to establish a list of 20-30 drugs and to determine test concentrations (at therapeutic levels and above) that would indicate interference to clinical chemistry methods in serum and plasma. The following agents were chosen: Acetaminophen, Acetylcysteine, Acetylsalicylic acid, Ampicillin, Ascorbic acid, Ca-Dobesilate, Cefoxitin, Cyclosporine, Heparin, Ibuprofen, Intralipid, Levodopa, Methyldopa, Metronidazole, Phenylbutazone, Rifampicin, Tetracycline, Theophylline.
