AbstractDuring a remission, bronchial asthma children were examined for bronchial hyperreactivity and bronchial lability by means of graded physical exercise tests, and pharmacological tests with bronchoconstrictors and bronchodilators. It has been established that normal lung function seen during aa remission does not mean the lack of bronchial hyperreactivity whereas incomplete recovery of bronchial patency during bronchial asthma remission is always attended by bronchial hyperreactivity in almost all the cases. In carrying out functional tests for bronchial hyperreactivity and bronchial lability, the recording of the velocity parameters of forced expiration making it possible to define patency of not only the central but also of the peripheral bronchi appeared very informative.
