    AbstractBowel cancer is a major cause of morbidity and death and is a high cost to health care systems. Screening currently offers the best chance of improving outcomes from bowel cancer. When introducing screening, the problems encountered in other cancers need to be avoided to maximize benefits and minimize harms.
