AbstractThoracic complications of ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt are very rare. We report an unusual case of VP shunt intrathoracic migration, associated with symptomatic hydrothorax. The patient was successfully managed with revision. We reviewed the 10 cases reported in the literature and discussed the mechanism of shunt-tip migration.
