AbstractSecuring an endotracheal tube in completely edentulous patients undergoing maxillofacial surgery can pose difficulties. In this report, a readily available and easy method of securing the endotracheal tube to gums of the teeth using the suture in such a circumstance is described. This technique has been used successfully in more than 100 patients at our institutions. Our experience suggests that it can provide reliable tube fixation and does not hinder surgical access.
