AbstractA case of posttraumatic osteomyelitis of the femur head is discussed. This article emphasizes the importance of radiographic examination in posttraumatic cases. We describe the common radiographic appearance of osteomyelitis, and then the appropriate mode of treatment for the patient via antibiotic therapy and surgical debridement/curettage.
