    AbstractThere are now three models of neuropathic pain in the rat that are in widespread use: the chronic constriction injury, the partial sciatic ligation model, and the spinal nerve ligation model. The procedures to create these models and the behavioral assays used to quantify the resulting abnormal pain sensations are described in this unit.
