AbstractMaintaining placement of temporary enteral feeding tubes requires ongoing bedside nursing assessment. Tube placement verification is essential to detect and minimize adverse effects. A critical appraisal of current evidence and best practice recommendations regarding temporary feeding tubes is provided.
