AbstractMedical scribes and electronic health records (EHRs) are increasingly being introduced into ambulatory clinics with variable outcomes. Characteristics of a successful implementation of medical scribes are described. Tips for optimization of the composition and presentation of the EHR as well as medical processes associated with medical documentation are presented.
