AbstractInitial assessment to determine pulselessness, monitoring the status of the patient, and the effectiveness of resuscitation efforts are integral parts of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. This article focuses on aspects of monitoring during cardiopulmonary resuscitation: electrocardiography and assessment of the adequacy of chest compressions.
