AbstractAuthors describe the case of a 7.5 years old girl run over and with polytrauma, whose bilateral fracture of the femoral diaphysis was treated with osteosynthesis. The operative indication was the III. degree open fracture on one side. Anatomical reduction was performed on both sides, with DC plate on the closed side and with fixateur externe after insertion of adaptation screws on the open one. The missing soft tissues were substituted with delayed split thickness mashgraft flaps. The injuries healed with good function. If the operative treatment of the femoral diaphysis is founded the lamellar osteosynthesis or the fixateur externe method is suggested.
