AbstractBlunt trauma causing a retropharyngeal hematoma without an associated cervical fracture is a relatively rare occurrence. This article presents the case of a patient with airway compromise from a retropharyngeal hematoma, and discusses the diagnosis, airway management, and treatment of this condition.
