    Day-case ligation of patent ductus arteriosus in premature infants.

    AbstractOver a 3-year period patent ductus arterious (PDA) ligation was performed on a day-case transfer basis on 45 premature infants. The overall survival rate was 93%. We would recommend this practice as an alternative to surgery in the neonatal intensive care unit.
