AbstractUnder the aspect of 33 years relevant experience in the medical profession, an attempt was made to describe the problems connected with the situation of the vaccination-preventable diseases 4 years after the reunification in Germany. In addition, the analysis of the actual situation in the infectious epidemiology was necessary. Comparing the current state in vaccination preventable infectious diseases with the aims of WHO, conclusions for an improved regime of immunization in germany were derived. The author is aware of the explosive nature of these suggestions, because they mean a radical change of the present habits and procedures in connection with vaccination-preventable diseases in the Federal Republic of Germany.
