AbstractAn evaluation was conducted of the emergency staff who cared for relatives of patients who had died suddenly. Physicians and nurses completed questionnaires and participated in follow-up meetings to discuss the results of the survey and to recommend actions to improve care for both bereaved families and staff. An informational brochure was developed that provides standard and customized information for families.
