AbstractA case of posterior traumatic dislocation of a Thompson prosthesis with fracture of the posterior wall of the acetabulum is presented. Nine years after the reduction and fixation of the posterior acetabular wall and 10 years after the initial neck fracture, the patient was free of pain, and the hip range of motion was within normal limits. To the best of our knowledge, no such case has ever been described in the English literature.
