AbstractRecently, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases sought to establish consistency in definitions, diagnostic criteria, and management practices concerning food allergies (FAs). This review aimed to summarize and highlight the relevant findings of these guidelines for the emergency department provider, as pediatric patients often present to the emergency department with FAs or other disorders mimicking FAs.
