AbstractIn conformity with legislation and the present recommendations of public health, fight against pain must be a steady concern for the nurses. The authors focus on the pain of the children hospitalized in pediatric surgery. The survey carried out with the nurses in two services, tries to assess the level at which they acknowledge and manage pain. The results highlight the fact that pain care remains within the medical area. Few assessment tools are used by the nurses who do not objective the concept of pain.
