AbstractHarvard Community Health Plan's nighttime telephone triage program, currently known as Telecommunications, has evolved through several stages, corresponding to HCHP membership growth, technological enhancements, and changes in the medicolegal environment. Recruiting, training, and retaining staff for nighttime telephone triage are discussed.
