AbstractThis article explores the changing landscape of commissioning, the commissioning nurse role within clinical commissioning groups and how the role has evolved as a result of the NHS organisational changes. It uses the results from two surveys undertaken by the Commissioning Nurse Leaders network, run by NHS England, to gauge the confidence of nurses in commissioning and leadership roles.
