AbstractThe potential antiemetic effect of two different oral doses of the herbal remedy ginger (Zingiber officinale) to prevent postoperative nausea and vomiting in 180 patients undergoing gynecologic laparoscopy was investigated in this randomized, double-blinded trial. Ginger failed to reduce the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting after these procedures.
