    Treatment of cold urticaria.

    AbstractIn a single patient with severe essential acquired cold urticaria, the following drug regimes were assessed: diphenhydramine, cyproheptadine, hydroxyzine, terbutaline, cimetidine, hydroxyzine plus cimetidine, and hydroxyzine plus terbutaline. Each regime showed favourable results, but a significance level of P = 0.01 was reached only for (a) hydroxyzine plus cimetidine in the suppression of erythema, and (b) the histamine H1 antagonists in the suppression of wealing.
