AbstractDespite the availability of antibiotics, acute otitis media can still lead to major complications. Bezold's abscesses are very rare complications and are usually found only in adults with well-pneumatized mastoid bones. We present the case of a 10-week-old newborn with a Bezold's abscess. It is stressed that acute otitis media can be silent and undetected in infants and can lead to major complications such as Bezold's abscess.
