AbstractA Fontan operation will eventually fail in many patients. Fontan conversion to extracardiac conduit has been recommended but is not always successful. We present a case of a patient who went into intractable heart failure after reoperation, was rescued by left ventricular assist device implantation, and was finally bridged to heart transplantation.
