AbstractThe differential of cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM) is broad and includes multiple conditions that can cause and mimic myelopathy. In adults older than 55 years of age, CSM is the most common cause of myelopathy. This article summarizes the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, differential diagnosis, diagnostic evaluation, and natural history of CSM.
