    AbstractMorbidity and mortality is high in patients with gunshot wounds to the chest. Only in rare cases do foreign bodies persist in the thorax without significant pathology. At this study, we present a case in which steel shot was removed through the mediastinum using mediastinoscopy due to the risk of tracheal fistula.
