    AbstractPosterior scleritis is an unusual disease that may cause serious ocular inflammation and potentially blinding consequences. To date, there are few cases of isolated posterior scleritis in children described in the literature. We report an unusual case of recurrent bilateral posterior scleritis after direct blunt trauma to the postequatorial aspect of the eye successfully controlled with long-term steroids and immunosuppressive therapy.
