AbstractThe clinical course of meningitides of different etiology was studied in 135 children. In meningitis of non-meningococcal etiology there is a prevalence of forms with brain involvement (meningoencephalitis) that are characterized by a prolonged intoxication, protracted course and residual sequels. The clinical diagnosis is difficult and requires bacteriological and serological examinations.
