AbstractBRFS findings underscore how commonplace firearms are in Wisconsin households. In particular, non-metropolitan households and households with adult males present were identified as more likely to have firearms. Greatest Risk in terms of firearm storage practices was reported by Milwaukee households and households without children to a larger extent than other households. This information can help health care providers plan and target preventive interventions for their clients.
