ImplicationsWe investigated the feasibility of posterior paravertebral sonography as a basis for ultrasound-guided posterior lumbar plexus blockades. Posterior paravertebral sonography proved to be a reliable as well as accurate imaging procedure for visualization of the lumbar paravertebral region except the lumbar plexus.
