    AbstractRecombinant human-activated protein C (rhAPC) has been suggested to treat sepsis. We present the case of a 19-year-old pregnant patient at the 18th week of gestation with septic shock syndrome that originated from urinary tract infection and was successfully treated with rhAPC.
