AbstractTwo case histories are presented in which special difficulties were encountered in the management of lower tracheal obstruction in children. These problems were successfully overcome by the use of a tracheostomy tube which was custom-made from a standard thin wall polyvinyl chloride endotracheal tube sufficiently long to relieve this obstruction.
