AbstractA 65-year-old man and a 51-year-old man underwent mitral valve repair for commissural prolapse due to infective endocarditis. On the occasion of repairing, folding plasty technique was employed to avoid relatively large annular plication after leaflet resection. Postoperative echocardiography showed no residual regurgitation and sufficient orifice area of the mitral valve. Folding plasty technique appeared to be simple and useful for repairing commissural prolapse due to infective endocarditis.
