    AbstractQuality of life (QoL) is an important measure of outcome after bariatric surgery. Impairment in QoL has been well documented in morbidly obese patients before undergoing bariatric surgery and has been shown to improve significantly within 3 months after the operative intervention. Improvement in QoL should be recognized as one of the benefits of bariatric surgery that can be quantified.
