AbstractThe aim of this study was to assess some risk factors involved in puerperal sepsis, such as: cesarean delivery, diabetes mellitus, preterm delivery and obesity, history of infections and anemia. The authors highlighted that new prevention methods and techniques could reduce the incidence and severity of post-cesarean puerperal sepsis (uterine infarction, peritonitis, toxic shock syndrome with Group A streptococcus).
