    AbstractThe significant rise in the prevalence of overweight and obesity has increased the importance of addressing this significant public health problem. Exercise appears to be an important factor for addressing the obesity epidemic. This review will focus on the role of exercise in the management of body weight and factors that should be considered when prescribing exercise to overweight adults.
