AbstractModified scapula manipulation represents a simple, highly successful and--both for the physician and the patient--pleasant new reduction technique in cases of anterior dislocation of the shoulder. The advantages of this technique--in particular in comparison with the previously employed methods are well founded. Non-evaluated methods, which are fraught with complications, such as the Hippocrates' method, should no longer be applied.
