    AbstractNimodipine is a lipophilic dihydropyridine calcium antagonist which is used to reduce the incidence and severity of delayed cerebral ischaemia in patients with subarachnoid haemorrhage. This article reviews its mechanism of action, pharmacology and indications for use.
