    AbstractFamilial hypercholesterolaemia is a genetic condition characterised by high cholesterol levels in the blood and an increased risk of premature coronary heart disease. In this article, the authors review the clinical features, pathology, epidemiology and clinical management of this often underdiagnosed condition.
