    AbstractHerein, we report two cases of pneumothorax and tension pneumopericardium after cardiothoracic surgery. Both patients underwent pericardiotomy during the primary operation and developed pericardial tamponade as a complication. The treatment was tube thoracostomy, and both patients recovered completely.
