AbstractWe report the case of an acute myocardial infarction due to coronary embolism in a patient with dilated cardiomyopathy and permanent atrial fibrillation. The patient underwent thrombectomy and stenting. The authors discuss the acute treatment in this clinical situation and the problem of dual antiplatelet therapy in patients with an indication for long-term oral anticoagulation undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention and stenting.
